Few Steps For Hyper -V Recovery Software
STEP 1
Open VHD Files

Following are the steps to execute VHD file repair using the Hyper-V Recovery application.

Download and install the application on the system.

Step 1: Run the tool by going to Start Menu followed by All Programs list. Proceed to the Hyper-V Recovery tool by clicking Open.

STEP 2
Select VHD File

Step 2: Click on Open to locate and load the .vhd and .vhdx format file for recovery. Select the file and click Open.

STEP 3
Select Partition

Step 3: After that hit on browse button ... and select either VHD or VHDX file

STEP 4
Select Scanning Mode

Step 4: Now Select the File Format such as VHDX or VHD file to process further.

STEP 5
Raw Scan of VHD File

Step 5: Now Select the Desired VHDX File format and select "Open" option.

Scanning VHD File

Step 6: After selection of Partition format, now select the .vhd file.

Step 7
Scan Report

Step 7: Scanning options within the software, select the desired scanning option.

  • Quick:- Option used for healthy .vhd or .vhdx file.
  • Advance:- Option used for Corrupt .vhd or .vhdx file
  • Recover Deleted Partition:- Option used for Deleted partition recovery from .vhd or .vhdx file.
Step 8
Recover Permanently Deleted File and Folder

Step 8: Preview the progress of Scanning. When process completed 100%, then software displays complete details stored in VHD and VHDX File

Step 9
Extract Selected File

Step 9: Now click on "+" on "Root Folder" icon to view Details in Hierarchy Structure.

Step 10
Save Recovered VHD

Step 10: Now preview the Recover Folder and View Complete details stored in a maintained Tree structure.

Step 11
Saving Option

Step 11: Now for saving those files the desired file, use the "Save Selected" option.

Step 12
Save Recovered Data

Step 12: You can also select Complete Folder from Explore Panel of software and use Save Button from menu bar as highlighted.


Now Provide Destination Path to save the Desired File or Create New Folder to save the recovered data.
